Apprentice License
A Nevada Ophthalmic Apprenticeship lasts between 1 and 3 years and prepares the licensee to become a licensed dispensing optician. For more information on the board's apprenticeship requirements, please read the Apprenticeship Requirements document below.
Ophthalmic Dispenser License
If you are a Nevada apprentice who has completed all the requirements of your apprenticeship and are ready to apply for your Optician's License, please log in to your account and access the application under "Forms".
Special Ophthalmic Dispenser License (out-of-state applicants)
The Special License is for out-of-state applicants who have an equivalent license or 5-plus years work experience in another state/territory. Please read the License Requirements document below before beginning your application. You will need to enter an email address to open an application.
